Anyway, I just need to point that according to Dictionary.com (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/transgender?s=t): transgender is a noun AND an adjective and transgendered is an adjective.
Also, it describes transgender as "a person appearing or attempting to be a member of the opposite sex, as a transsexual or habitual cross-dresser" which, we may agree, is a very sad definition.
Compared to that, your logic seems very consistent but, as I said, the entire concept change from country to country. I don't really know if one of us can tell one or other's definition is wrong.
