The way I handle anyone who I suspect of HPD is to keep them at arm's length. You can still interact, hell you can even get into a relationship, but just know what you're getting yourself into.
And know that if you don't play their game, they'll move on to the next. So don't invest too much and you'll be fine. Fall in love and you're absolutely fucked.
